Concealed Carry Training Courses in Colorado
The Basic Pistol 101 and Defensive Pistol 100 courses will improve your pistol shooting fundamentals and basic pistol craft skills with the self-defense pistol. Upon successful completion of either course, students will receive the certificate necessary to apply for a Concealed Handgun Permit (CHP) in Colorado.

Exciting News! New Concealed Handgun Permit Course Starting April 1, 2025!
We’re thrilled to introduce our new Concealed Handgun Permit course, available beginning April 1, 2025. This course will replace our Basic Pistol 101 and has been specifically designed to meet the standards of CO HB 24-1174. Rest assured, you’ll receive the same high-quality training with a fresh new name!
The Concealed Handgun Permit (CHP) course offers in-depth training on pistol safety, operation, and the essential knowledge required to legally and responsibly carry a concealed handgun in Colorado. This course includes both a written exam and shooting proficiency assessment to ensure you meet all necessary requirements. Upon successful completion, you will earn the certificate needed to apply for your Concealed Handgun Permit (CHP) in the state of Colorado.

This renewal course is designed for individuals seeking to renew their Colorado Concealed Handgun Permit. The course provides a comprehensive refresher on firearm safety, responsible gun ownership, and applicable state and federal laws regarding concealed carry. Participants will review legal updates and use-of-force laws. Students will be required to pass both a written exam and shooting proficiency.

The Defensive Pistol 100 class will improve your pistol shooting fundamentals and basic pistol craft skills with the self defense pistol. Using the “crawl, walk, run” philosophy, students will learn and practice basic and intermediate pistol skills and shooting fundamentals both in the classroom and on the live-fire range. This class is taught by NRA certified pistol instructors.
- CHP certification is available with this course
- We also offer this course as a Women’s Only Defensive Pistol 100.
- Completion of Defensive Pistol 100 qualifies students for Defensive Pistol 200, and our Dynamic Skill Builder courses: Defensive Pistol 120, Low Light Pistol 140, and Force on Force 150.
