Are you prepared for emergency situations? Our Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (TECC) course provides practical, hands-on training that teaches you how to respond to and care for patients in high-pressure, emergency environments—no prior experience is required, although a foundational understanding of casualty care and FA100 is recommended.
Based on the trusted methods from NAEMT’s 2nd Edition TECC, this course is ideal for anyone seeking to enhance their confidence in responding to crises—whether you’re a healthcare professional, a community member, or simply someone looking to make a positive impact.
The course presents the three phases of tactical care and integrates parallel EMS nomenclature:
- Hot Zone/Direct Threat Care that is rendered while under attack or in adverse conditions.
- Warm Zone/Indirect Threat Care that is rendered while the threat has been suppressed but may resurface at any point.
- Cold Zone/Evacuation Care that is rendered while the casualty is being evacuated from the incident site.
The 8-hour course includes all new patient simulations and covers the following topics:
- Hemorrhage control including immediate action drills for tourniquet application throughout the course;
- Complete coverage of the MARCH assessment;
- Surgical airway control and needle decompression;
- Strategies for treating wounded responders in threatening environments;
- Techniques for dragging and carrying victims to safety along with evacuation procedures.
Age Requirement: 18+
This is not an advanced course; however, a foundational understanding of casualty care is recommended.
