Concealed Handgun Permit

The Concealed Handgun Permit (CHP) course offers in-depth training on pistol safety, operation, and the essential knowledge required to legally and responsibly carry a concealed handgun in Colorado. This course includes both a written exam and shooting proficiency assessment to ensure you meet all necessary requirements. Upon successful completion, you will earn the certificate needed to apply for your Concealed Handgun Permit (CHP) in the state of Colorado.

• Carrying concealed in the real world — tips, tricks and gray areas
• Carry methods that are both reasonable and effective for everyday life
• This course include both a written exam and shooting proficiency.

• Quality, working, serviceable pistol.  Please bring your pistol to the course unloaded and in a case.  Firearm rentals are available through Liberty Firearms Institute for an additional fee
• 50 rounds of ammunition (Factory produced ammo only.  No home reloads allowed due to insurance.)
• 2 magazines (minimum)
• Eye and ear protection – If you do not have your own, loaner eye and ear protection will be available.
• Baseball style hat to keep brass from getting behind your eye protection.
• There will be a meal break during class and you are more than welcome to eat snacks during the classroom portion. Bottled water will be provided.
• Appropriate clothing (i.e. closed-toe shoes, pants, long sleeve shirt without low neckline).
