SUMMARY:Kids Intro to Firearms
DESCRIPTION:This is a two-hour course for children and their parents/guardians\, consisting of one hour in the classroom and one hour on  the indoor range at Liberty Firearms Institute. DESCRIPTION:This course focuses on the principles of shooting a scoped rifle\, and teaches students to effectively and confidently shoot out to 300 yards. Either a bolt action or semi-automatic weapon maybe used. This class does not allow red dot holographic or prism scopes\, only “traditional” rifle scopes are allowed. \n\nTopics Covered\n\nFirearms safety\nFundamentals of shooting a scoped rifle\nAmmunition and ballistics\nDisassembly and assembly\nMechanical operation\nCare and cleaning\nZeroing scoped rifles\nBallistics and ammunition selection\nMethodology of shooting a scoped rifle\nPositional shooting\nMarksmanship and accuracy of scoped rifles\n\nRequired Equipment\n\nGood working\, serviceable scoped rifle capable of 1 MOA or better\, .223 or larger.\nA rifle mounted and bore sighted (at a minimum) scope with at least a 4 power magnification (If you need assistance with this please contact us and we will be happy to assist you).\n80 rounds of rifle ammunition (same make\, bullet weight and load). Home reloads are allowed in bolt-action rifles only. No reloads allowed in gas-operated guns (no exceptions due to insurance).\nRifle cheek piece. If you rifle does not have one\, we will have ones for purchase available and have the materials needed to adjust it during the training.\nRifle sling.\nEye & Ear protection.\nRifle cleaning kit.\nAppropriate clothing for all weather conditions. We will train rain or shine.\nSturdy footwear.\nBaseball style hat or appropriate headgear.\n\nOptional Equipment\n\nSpotting scope or high powered binoculars\nBipod or shooting bag\nRear squeeze bag\nShooting mat\nKnee and elbow pads\nCamp chair (for range breaks)

DESCRIPTION:Concealed Handgun Permit (CHP) provides comprehensive training and instruction in pistol safety and operation in addition to what you need to know to carry a concealed handgun in Colorado (legally and practically). Upon successful completion of this course\, you will receive the certificate necessary to apply for a Concealed Handgun Permit (CHP) in Colorado. \nThe class is taught by Makhaira Group certified NRA instructors in a safe and professional classroom and range. \nTopics Covered\n\nReasons why to carry a handgun in society and why not to\nHandgun safety\nChoosing a handgun and ammunition\nLegal use of deadly force in Colorado\nLocal\, state\, federal laws and reciprocity\nCarrying concealed in the real world — tips\, tricks and gray areas\nCarry methods that are both reasonable and effective for everyday life\nLive-fire instruction and practice for safety\, accuracy and comfort with your pistol\n\nRequired Equipment\n\nQuality\, working\, serviceable pistol.  Please bring your pistol to the course unloaded and in a case.
