DESCRIPTION:Concealed Handgun Permit (CHP) provides comprehensive training and instruction in pistol safety and operation in addition to what you need to know to carry a concealed handgun in Colorado (legally and practically). Upon successful completion of this course\, you will receive the certificate necessary to apply for a Concealed Handgun Permit (CHP) in Colorado. \nThe class is taught by Makhaira Group certified NRA instructors in a safe and professional classroom and range. \nTopics Covered\n\nReasons why to carry a handgun in society and why not to\nHandgun safety\nChoosing a handgun and ammunition\nLegal use of deadly force in Colorado\nLocal\, state\, federal laws and reciprocity\nCarrying concealed in the real world — tips\, tricks and gray areas\nCarry methods that are both reasonable and effective for everyday life\nLive-fire instruction and practice for safety\, accuracy and comfort with your pistol\n\nRequired Equipment\n\nQuality\, working\, serviceable pistol.  Please bring your pistol to the course unloaded and in a case. DESCRIPTION:The Defensive Pistol 110 class (formerly Basic Pistol 101) is open to all Makhaira Group Alumni of Basic Pistol 101 or Concealed Handgun Permit. This is a range only session\, reviewing the fundamentals of marksmanship with a focus on improvement of accuracy and safe gun handling skills learned in Defensive Pistol 100. \nPrerequisite\nCompletion of Basic Pistol 101 (with CCW)/ Concealed Handgun Permit. A pre-approved course/recommendation from a reputable instructor may also be considered. Students failing to meet and maintain our safety requirements and/or who cannot meet and immediately demonstrate the minimum skills required for the specific class may be removed from training. DESCRIPTION:What would you do if you were suddenly and violently attacked? Most of us wonder how we would really act under high stress and potential deadly situations. This course is designed to prepare students for real-world acts of violence\, criminal encounters and sudden attacks. \nWe will help you work through real-life events and teach you proven survival techniques through reality based scenarios. Students will be taught how to tactically make decisions in high stress situations and how to use real world techniques to survive a variety of violent encounters. Focus will be on engaging threats with real-world speed and accuracy necessary for you to survive. This course will expand your firearms skills in real-world situations. You will walk away from this course with a whole new outlook on the world! \nPrerequisite\nCompletion of Defensive Pistol 100 or Defensive Pistol 110 (formally Basic Pistol 102). You will learn simple and effective techniques that will stop a sudden\, violent attack and give you the time and opportunity to access your firearm. \nForce-on-force scenarios using non-lethal marking cartridges make this training as real as it gets! We only use top-of-the-line\, full-size SIMUNITON pistols and ammunition for our training.
