DESCRIPTION:Beginning August 1\, 2026\, Colorado law requires individuals purchasing certain specified semiautomatic firearms (SSFs) to complete state-approved firearms safety training before completing their purchase. \nThe Basic Firearms Safety Course is the 4-hour training option established by Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW). This course is intended for students who have already completed a CPW-recognized Hunter Education course and meet the eligibility requirements outlined by Colorado law. Students must also obtain a Firearms Safety Course Eligibility Card through their county sheriff before enrolling. DESCRIPTION:Beginning August 1\, 2026\, Colorado law requires individuals purchasing certain specified semiautomatic firearms (SSFs) to complete state-approved firearms safety training before completing their purchase. \nThe Basic Firearms Safety Course is the 4-hour training option established by Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW). This course is intended for students who have already completed a CPW-recognized Hunter Education course and meet the eligibility requirements outlined by Colorado law. Students must also obtain a Firearms Safety Course Eligibility Card through their county sheriff before enrolling. DESCRIPTION:The Defensive Pistol 110 class is open to all Makhaira Group Alumni of Concealed Handgun Permit or students who already have their Concealed Handgun Permit. This is a range only session\, reviewing the fundamentals of marksmanship with a focus on improvement of accuracy and safe gun handling skills learned in Defensive Pistol 100. \nPrerequisite\nCompletion of Basic Pistol 101 (with CCW)/ Concealed Handgun Permit or students who already have a Concealed Handgun Permit. A pre-approved course/recommendation from a reputable instructor may also be considered. DESCRIPTION:What would you do if you were suddenly and violently attacked? Most of us wonder how we would really act under high stress and potential deadly situations. This course is designed to prepare students for real-world acts of violence\, criminal encounters and sudden attacks. \nWe will help you work through real-life events and teach you proven survival techniques through reality based scenarios. Students will be taught how to tactically make decisions in high stress situations and how to use real world techniques to survive a variety of violent encounters. Focus will be on engaging threats with real-world speed and accuracy necessary for you to survive. This course will expand your firearms skills in real-world situations. You will walk away from this course with a whole new outlook on the world! \nPrerequisite\nCompletion of Defensive Pistol 100 or Defensive Pistol 110. A pre-approved course/recommendation from a reputable instructor may also be considered. You will learn simple and effective techniques that will stop a sudden\, violent attack and give you the time and opportunity to access your firearm. \nForce-on-force scenarios using non-lethal marking cartridges make this training as real as it gets! We only use top-of-the-line\, full-size SIMUNITON pistols and ammunition for our training.
