Security Assessment

Physical security involves measures undertaken to protect personnel, equipment, and property against anticipated threats. Passive measures include the effective use of architecture, landscaping, and lighting to achieve improved security by deterring, disrupting or mitigating potential threats.  Active measures include the use of proven systems and technologies designed to deter, detect, report and react against threats.

As part of the assessment process, our team will assess both the building and the current Active Threat policy and procedures that are in place. After observing any and all vulnerabilities and/or weaknesses within the schools and staff, we will recommend a Top Ten Action Items List and create a specific Action Plan for your schools and staff.

Assessment may include

(but is not limited to)

  • Teacher/Staff Identification Enforcement
  • Parent/Legal Guardian ID Program
  • Security Plan Signage
  • Initial Reaction Team (IRT) Training and Go Bag
  • Building Interior and Exterior Assessment (doors, windows, and locks)
  • Enhanced Lock Down Procedures (Code Blue, Code Red)
  • Electronic Security Level 1
  • Electronic Security Level 2
  • Electronic Security Level 3
